Despite the threats of COVID-19, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has expanded in Dubai with two hotels of opposite ends of the budget spectrum, with plans for a third one of targeted completion in the first half of 2021.
With these two new hotels, Wyndham has a total of 16 hotels in the UAE, eight of which are in Dubai.
The Broad Budget Spectrum
With the goal of accommodating travelers who have a rather broad budget array, the hospitality giant has decided to build two hotels with completely different price ranges.
Wyndham Hotels & Resorts regional director for the Middle East and Africa, Michel Augier, expressed his excitement with welcoming the brands to the region.
“The Deira Waterfront has great potential to attract visitors from around the world, many of whom bring varying accommodation needs, making it the ideal location to further expand our presence,” he said. “With distinct offerings from economy to upscale, this marks yet another step in our continued commitment to making hotel travel possible for all.”
As a first in Dubai, the hotel franchise has built Super 8 by Wyndham Dubai Deira that features a carefully selected mixture of contemporary and traditional Arabian design elements for budget-conscious travelers.
On the other end of the spectrum, the Wyndham Dubai Deira features intricate detail in all of its 209 rooms and suites. This upscale hotel features relaxing amenities including a spa, a sauna with a steam room, a fitness center, and a pool.

The Deira Enrichment Project
Both hotels were essential to the start of the Deira Enrichment Project, a development by Ithra Dubai, fully owned by the Investment Corporation of Dubai. It is a mixed-use project that aims to become one of the largest manmade developments in the world.
After all, Wyndham has a name for itself as the largest hotel franchising company with 9,000 hotels standing in about 90 countries.
